Time-Step Calculation
The calculation for an actual earthquake (El Centro, 1940) is demonstrated based on the following frame construction.
The acceleration spectrum that was recorded back then is transferred to the system and a time step integration with 800 steps per 0.05 seconds is calculated.
After the calculation, the deformation, velocity and acceleration as well as all internal forces of the system are available for each time step.
These values can be visualized or e.g. used for a reinforced concrete design.
