SAF (Structual Analysis Format)

The SAF (Structual Analysis Format) is a special data format for structural models used for static and dynamic analysis. It allows the exchange of complete model structures with the properties required for the calculation. The SAF data is stored in an MS Excel® file.

Import

During import, the model objects surfaces, beams, columns and supports are read into InfoCAD and are available with properties such as cross-section, material, etc. for FEM meshing or further processing and calculation.

Export

Existing model objects are exported to Structural Analysis Format. The SAF file can then be shared.

The SAF format is supported by the CAD programs Allplan® and ArchiCAD®, as well as various structural analysis programs. Free viewers are available for content verification.
