Dynamic Collapse Analysis

Sudden failure of one or more components (also time-displaced) creates a dynamic pulse and consequently a significant additional load on the system structure. This can be calculated with the load type 'Dynamic element collapse'.

Within a time-step calculation, the stiffness of selected elements are reduced. The sudden rearrangement of the system leads to the extreme loading event.

After the analysis the deformations, internal forces, velocities and accelerations for all time steps are available. They can be combined and used for checks.
