InfoCAD Data Transfer Interfaces

The cooperation with design programs is ensured through various interfaces. Since the central data format IFC is not yet supported by all providers equally, the possibilities of data exchange are explained below.

Data Format/ Provider InfoCAD Possibilities
IFC Standardized data format for provider-independent data exchange in construction. Import and export of the analytical and physical building model.
The analytical building model can be used directly for the calculation (for example from Allplan®, Archicad®, Tekla®, ConED®, Allplan2IFC®-Allbau Software GmbH).
SAF Structural Analysis Format - based on MS Excel for the exchange of analysis models. Import and export of the analytical building model (for example from Allplan® and Archicad®).
DXF Import and export of drawing objects, exchange of FEM meshes using 3D-Faces (eg. Rhino3D®).
DSTV Steel construction interface of the DSTV for the import and export of frameworks. Supported by various provider (file type * .stp).
InfoGraph
*.ICX
InfoGraph's own programming interface based on STEP technology. Complete structures can be exchanged.
Reinforcement Transfer of the area reinforcement to various design programs: eg: ALLPLAN® (* .asf), STRAKON® (* .cfe), -isb cad-® (* .fem) ZEICON® (fax *).
Nemetschek ALLPLAN® Allpan® provides the analytical IFC and SAF model. Therefor a plugin is required.
The data transfer of the physical IFC model is also possible, but this may require extensive revision of the model.
Determined reinforcement can be exported to ALLPLAN® using the * .asf format.
Autodesk
Revit®
Direct transfer of the calculation model from Revit® with the InfoCAD BIM RV add-in. Incl. loads, supports etc. as well as an update function.

Trimble
Tekla®

The Tekla® provides the analytical IFC model. Therefor a plugin is required (IFC & cis/2 Analysis Model, Tekla® Warehouse).
DiCAD STRAKON® Import of drawings with additional information (layer definition, via DXF). The data transfer of the physical IFC model is also possible, but this may require extensive revision of the model. Determined reinforcement can be exported to STRAKON® using the * .cfe format.
Glaser
-icb cad-®
Import of drawings with additional information (layer definition, via DXF). Determined reinforcement can be exported to -isbcad-® using the * .fem format.
ConED® ConED® provides the analytical IFC model. The analytical building model can be used directly for the calculation. InfoCAD results can be read out.
Rhino3D® Import of freeform geometries via DXF. An FEM mesh can be generated directly from the 3D faces of the Rhino model.
