Slab structures are planned nowadays predominately on the basis of FEM calculations. The Configuration level 2D of the InfoGraph program system offers a mature solution for numerous tasks in structural engineering.

After the existing drawings are imported or constructed in the system, meshes can be automatically generated for complicated ground plans. This does not even require the definition of surfaces or surface macros.
Also, special editing functions make it possible to manually modify the FEM mesh at any time.

Loads can be freely distributed and moved within the system.

Complete graphical continuity is ensured, from system entry and preparation of the results through to exporting the reinforcement to design programs. This means that large foundation slabs, geometrically complex floor slabs with downstand beams, widely varying plain stress problems as well as girder grid and 2D frame systems can be modeled safely and quickly.
